ROB

Rob joined The Guards in 2009 playing a mixture of covers from the Sixties to date, making two original albums and a solo album along the way. ​

 

A Beatles fanatic since his formative years, Rob spent the best part of the 80’s discovering the deeper cuts of the 60’s and 70’s, a passion that remains to this day.

        

Favourite albums from the era include, The Move's Shazam, Beatles Sgt Pepper, Manfred Mann Chapter Three's Volume One, The Kinks Village Green, Rainbow Ffolly's Sallies Fforth, Donovan's Sunshine Superman, Georgie Fame's Sound Venture, The Stone's Beggars Banquet, The Zombies Odessey and Oracle, Ritchie Havens Mixed Bag, and The Who's Tommy.

Rob plays a Vox Teardrop, a George Harrison Rocky Strat, Rickenbacker 330, a Rickenbacker 620 and a Martin Custom X Acoustic. He uses Vox and Orange Amplification.
